As a frequent feature, The Journal invites The Association of Investment Management and Research (AIMR) to discuss its role, share observations and to keep us abreast of changes affecting the industry.
John Stokes
is Vice President, Professional Conduct Program of the Association for Investment Management and Research.
He is responsible for overseeing the AIMR-Performance Presentation Standards program, the investigation of
professional conduct cases, and AIMR ethics education efforts. Mr. Stokes also works with the CFA Program in
developing the ethics, PPS curriculum, and exam questions. He is staff liaison to several professional conduct and
advocacy committees. Mr. Stokes has been with AIMR since 1994. He is a member of the National Association of
Compliance Professionals and the Committee on Developments in Investment Services of the American Bar Association.
He received his B.A. (1988) and J.D. (1991) from the University of Virginia.
