Charles Ellis, Ph.D. is a Senior Advisor of Greenwich Associates, the Connecticut-based international business strategy consulting firm he founded in 1972.  Mr. Ellis earned a B.A. at Yale, an M.B.A. (with distinction) at the Harvard Business School, and a Ph.D. at New York University.  He has taught the second-year courses in investment management at the Yale School of Management, the Harvard Business School, and in Association for Investment Management & Research's (AIMR's) Investment Workshop at Princeton; and is the author of ten books, including Winning the Loser's Game and The Investor's Anthology.

 

He is a Successor Trustee of Yale University, where he chairs the investment committee.   He is an Overseer of the Stern School of Business at New York University and a Trustee of the Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research.  Mr. Ellis has served as a Trustee of Phillips Exeter Academy, the Whitehead Instiute, Eagle Hill School, and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Harvard Business School and the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts (ICFA); he also was Chairman of AIMR and President of the ICFA.
