Robert D. Arnott serves as Chairman of First Quadrant, LP and as Chairman of Research Affiliates, LLC.  He also serves as Editor of the Financial Analysts Journal.  He has authored over sixty articles for journals such as the Financial Analysts Journal, the Journal of Portfolio Management, and the Harvard Business Review.  He has received five Graham and Dodd Scrolls, awarded annually by AIMR for the best articles of the year, including their top award for 2003, and two Bernstein-Fabozzi/Jacobs-Levy awards by the Journal of Portfolio Management and Instiutional Investor. In 2002, he established Research Affliates in order to offer products and services which were not consonant with the mission of First Quadrant, including sub-advisory services, software, and asset managment models.
