The Association for Investment Management & Research (AIMR) has implemented revised rules for presenting investment returns. By adopting the revised AIMR-Performance Presentation Standards (PPS), the U.S. and Canadian version of the Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS), AIMR has aligned the U.S. and Canadian industry standards with the global standards.  By using the GIPS "gold standard," investment management firms that are compliant with the redrafted AIMR-PPS can use their performance records in other countries without having to recalculate or re-present the numbers under a different set of guidelines.
