William H. Starbuck, Ph.D., is courtesy professor- in- residence at the Lundquist College of Business of the University of Oregon and professor emeritus at New York University. He is a world -renowned scholar in organizational studies and research methods and has been so for decades.

William H. Starbuck, Ph.D., is courtesy professor- in- residence at the Lundquist College of Business of the University of Oregon and professor emeritus at New York University. He is a world -renowned scholar in organizational studies and research methods and has been so for decades. To mention but a few of his outstanding achievements, Professor Starbuck has served as the president of the Academy of Management, as the Chair of the screening committee for senior Fulbright awards, and as the editor of Administrative Science Quarterly. He has served on the editorial board of such prestigious journals as Academy of management Review; Accounting, Management and Information Technologies; the Journal of Applied Social Psychology; the Journal of Leadership Studies; the Journal of Management Inquiry; the Journal of Socioeconomics; the International Journal of Management Reviews; and the Journal of Management Studies. His publications include close to 180 articles on a wide variety of topics, many of them in A* journals, two books written and seventeen books edited by him. He has received honorary doctoral titles from Stockholm University, the Université Panthéon -Assas (Paris II), and the Université Paul Cézanne (Aix -Marseille III). He has further held visiting positions at thirteen Universities around the world. He is a world- class scholar and by many of his peers considered a “giant” in the fields of Management Studies and Research Methods.
